Race 1 in PCA Sim Racing’s Series 10 Club Class was tough sledding for Chip Witt. Having qualified in P31, far worse that he had hoped, he spent a good portion of early laps dodging incident-induced traffic.
PC performance issues (stutters and low frame rates) plagued Witt while cars were still close together, and as he attempted a pass, he cut across and made contact with the car immediately behind him. Both cars went off, but Witt suffered a broken half-shaft and had to tow.
Soon after returning to track a lap down with a new car (using the single Fast Repair allotted), Witt was charged with incident responsibility for the collision. He was given 2 license penalty points and a stop-and-go black flag, effectively ending his progress in the race. Witt retired the car early and finished P49.
